Our Background
Volunteer Connections got its start in 2021 as a Leadership Jackson County Youth-focused project. Our hope in creating this service is to help not only Jackson County's youth but to also aid its youth services organizations.
How does this help youth services and the community?
-All of our nonprofit organization partners have volunteer positions for those ages 15+. They have a youth department, program, or event that serves those ages twenty-five and under.
*This does not mean that is the only department they can recruit for.
-The nonprofit organization partners annually report to the Jackson County community as helping further education, provide services, and engage in practices that enrich the lives of youth as defined by ages 25 or younger.
-Nonprofit organizations that are partners have expressed a need for volunteers for a single event, long-term project, or other specified need. Volunteer Connections hopes to help bridge the gap between the organizations in need of hands and those hands that are willing to help but don't know where to start.
Since May of 2022 Volunteer Connections is now being managed by Jackson County United Way.
